For the survey in 2017, the Parish Pastoral Council asked parishioners two questions.
What new structures, changes or activities would you like to see in Holy Rosary?
What would persuade you to become more active in Holy Rosary Parish?
They collated results and assigned most responses to one of three themes:
Welcome and belonging
They used “miscellaneous” for suggestions and responses that didn’t fit into the themes.
What’s happened since the survey
Currently the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is implementing an action from each theme. In keeping with parishioners’ suggestion to be a more welcoming parish, the PPC has organised refreshments after 10.30am Mass on three Sundays. They’re inviting parishioners for tea and coffee after 12.00 noon Mass on 29 April. Faith development has included a course for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and a summary of catechesis in parish bulletins. The PPC facilitated the establishment of the food bank, an ongoing outreach to other communities that Holy Rosary parishioners support generously.
Survey responses are published in a downloadable PDF from the link below.
